1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Vulpa (“the Service”), operated by Vulpa, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
2. Description of Service
Vulpa is an AI-powered construction compliance intelligence platform designed for contractors, architects, engineers, and developers operating in Washington State. The Service analyzes uploaded construction documents against a database of real permit corrections from Seattle SDCI and other Washington jurisdictions to assess permit readiness.
Features include Permit Readiness AI, Code Rebuttal Engine, Genius Mode bulk document processing, and a searchable database of 26,000+ real permit corrections.
3. User Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these terms. If using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
4. Subscription and Payment
Vulpa offers the following subscription tiers:
- Starter — $49/month: 20 AI checks/day, 1 project, Seattle code database
- Professional — $149/month: 100 AI checks/day, 10 projects, Code Rebuttal Engine, Genius Mode
- Enterprise — Custom pricing: unlimited checks, unlimited projects, API access, dedicated support
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
5. AI Disclaimer
Important: Vulpa AI provides guidance and analysis only. The Service does not constitute legal, engineering, or professional advice.
AI-generated compliance scores, issue reports, and recommendations are based on pattern matching against historical permit corrections and should be treated as preliminary guidance. They do not guarantee permit approval.
Always consult a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), architect, or qualified building official for final permit submissions. Vulpa is not liable for permit rejections, construction delays, or code violations arising from reliance on AI-generated analysis.
6. Data Usage
Documents you upload to Vulpa are used to provide the Service, including compliance analysis and AI-powered readiness scoring. We may use anonymized, aggregated data from uploaded documents to improve our AI models and expand our compliance database.
We will never share your individual documents or project data with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload to the Service. By uploading, you grant Vulpa a limited license to process, analyze, and store your documents for the purpose of providing the Service.
The Vulpa platform, including its AI models, compliance database, user interface, and branding, is the intellectual property of Vulpa, Inc. and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vulpa, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, permit rejections, construction delays, or data loss.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Vulpa in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a manner that could harm other users or our infrastructure.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted unless required by law.
10. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
